Hi, i always playing without any pressure of my foot on my Hi Hat pedal, it's just the weight of the foot who close hi hat cymbal (DW 9000) and just move up my foot when i need to open hi hat, listening to Morello/Grubber/Weckl no tense approach i feel conforted in that and following the advice: if it work for you why change, so i don't want to change my Hi Hat playing but i just wonder if it's a bad habit who can cause my problem one day (if i use more hi hat then today) or just to know if other drummer use hi hat this way too

The pressure you apply to the hi-hat foot pedal will determine the sound of your hi-hat when you strike it. How your hi-hat sounds should depend on what the music calls for. There are no rules, really.

But, yes, in general its a bad habit and one that I'm guilty of, too. Try adjusting the tension so that the weight of your leg will close it a little tighter(if it's adjustable). That's what I do.
